Starting Parker

Howdy people, Mat here. Mike P has generously offered some space on his blog for me to try out some of this commentary stuff. What I’ll be doing is attempting to figure out Judge Parker, with no prior knowledge of the strip. It’d probably be best if you had no prior knowledge either, but maybe it’ll be fun for you to enjoy my ignorance. Well, let’s get this show on the road.
Okay, from what I can tell, there seems to be a party going on for someone named Sophie, who is in need of support in the form of a party. Rocky Ledge and Godiva Danube, judging by their stupid names, busy schedules and attention-receiving abilities, are famous. Angry Blonde Lady doesn’t look like she’s liking the situation one bit, therefore giving me reason to side with Sophie, whomever that may be. No judging is going on and the party is taking place in some black and white, shadowy, existential void, not a court. Perhaps tomorrow will reveal more of the puzzle. Make sure you tune in to find out, and please, if you’re a fan of Judge Parker, no clues. You are to remain as dumbfounded and penniless as I. Also, to make it harder on myself, I’ve decided to try it as if I was someone who got a paper without Judge Parker on Sundays.

You poor poor person. Not following Judge Parker. I’ve been following for years. This stuff is getting good. Your takes on the characters is good, but you’re missing alot. Keep this going.
