Spider-Man’s weakness
Posted by meekrat on September 30, 2009
There’ll be big stuff happening on Friday, perhaps! Most likely, because it’s all in the bag and just needs to be put up. In fact, it’s no big secret, but the official thing will be on Friday. We’ll have non-existent punch and pie. Also, Ethan Crane beat Purple Lamp. Expect the fight at some point soon. And CYOB needs six more votes to update, so if you have a passing fancy, please read it and vote on it? Thank you.
Oh my god! Foghorn just used Spider-Man’s major weakness against him! Everyone knows that Spider-Man can’t withstand even the softest blow to the head! So far, Foghorn is the only villain/henchman smart enough (or cowardly enough) to use this tactic. I’m also wondering where Sandman went.
What if the strange smell is clay, and ManFAKE is actually the Clay Camel? Which would be a lot of misdirection on the writer’s fault, which is a lot more impressive than I expected from this strip.
What about the train tanks? What happened with those? Is the building close to the train tracks? Also, holy crap, they’re about to kill Diana! A

hmmmm… slight problem with Chatu’s scheme – assuming he has some interest in self preservation – if he makes sure the whole world knows it was he behind the explosion that killed Dianna and assuming that Phantom can pretty much get into that prison and mete out justice however he see fits, then there should be a fairly anti-climactic finish to Chatu’s tale wherein the Ghost who walks exacts terrible revenge upon the convict locked in cell… bonus points if the Phantom takes umbrage at the replica of Dianna in the blind guy’s cell.

1. I give Spiderman credit for the first time since I started coming here. It surprised me. So far, Foghorn had been this whiny pansy. “We’re in trouble, boss!” “What do we do, boss?” And then, while Spiderman (who apparently felt the same way about him as me) ignores him, he jumps to the occasion and drills him…..so….does Sandman save Spidey….and…uh….will Sabertooth appear in the background buying a coffee or something?
2. One interesting mistake the Phantom artists are making is having a lack of continuity in what the villains are wearing. Most days, one is wearing a suit and the other is wearing something that reminds me of a life jacket. But this is the second time where they’re wearing white and black shirts. Yes….a very weird thing for one to notice….regardless, if I was either of those two, I’d be having my passport ready and instantly hopping a cab to the airport for a one-way trip to an isolated island somewhere the minute I detonate whatever I’m detonating…..Phantom might put a bit more into his Skull Ring punch for these two…..like to where there’s a skull imprint in their cerebellum.

Of course they’d have to make sure there’s not jungles on that island.

Your monthly “UNNNHHHHH,” ladies and gentlemen. Maybe one day, when I have a little more spare time, I’ll compose a collage of “UNNNNHHHHHs” from the past couple years.

it’s not a comic strip spider-man story without an ‘UNNNHHH’.
