Friday Night Fights: Feet of Fury Round 5

As you may have figured out, I’m using these panels to link to articles. Today’s article is a weird “Watchmen” sort of thing, so I looked through the thing looking for a kick. I figured it wouldn’t be that hard, because people got kicked all the time in the movie and it’s been a little while since I read the graphic novel. Well, I was wrong. There’s only about four kicks in “Watchmen”, and three of those are of some thug kicking someone when they’re down. The only super-heroic sort of kick is this one:
It makes an odd amount of sense, I guess, given the realism Dave Gibbons and Alan Moore were striving for. Most of the characters (save Ozymandias) are just normal people who have chosen to put on costumes and fight crime, and I don’t know many people who’d be very good at kicking people in a fight. Still, here I was expecting an embarrassment of riches and I find only one good kick to speak of. Oh well. Don’t forget to go check out the other fights at SpaceBooger and vote for your favorite!
