So Sandman went from not wanting to do this, to punching out a guard, to reveling in his re-found joy of being a criminal? Man, that’s really dumb. Hopefully it’s just a ruse to fool Bigshot or something.
Well, since it’s Derek and not the Clay Camel, we can be pretty sure that it’s not some form of clay that they’re smelling. So what is it? Apparently, we’ll find out on Monday.
So is this whole months-long storyline going to be about the Phantom and his kids going around the world trying to find a place where the hurting stops? Oh man, what if they go see the Croccos again? That’d be great.
Man… Flash Gordon doesn’t really care about newspaper standards and practices, does it? I would think the syndicate would have tried to stop the (admittedly rather tame, but not for the newspapers) comic strip. Between this and the Phantom’s random cheesecake, the Defenders of the Earth sort of smut up the comic page. Not that Spider-Man isn’t doing his part, what with Maria Lopez being naked in a tub all those years ago and Mary Jane parading around in her skimpy underthings on several occasions.
