So I’ve started using Google Chrome for random reasons, and for doing the updates here, it’s been fine. The comic strip commentary and March Meekrat Madness (the current post of which will go up later, as my head is hurting from eye-strain and lack of sleepy goodness) are going by without a hitch. For the Daily Comics Review, though, I have to use Firefox to download the comics, upload the comics again, and resize the things once I get into Blogger, which is insane because Google owns Blogger so they should really make sure their blogging software is compatible with their browser. This was all just a thing to link you to my post at the DCR today and let you know that today’s MMM is forthcoming. Ah, and if you’re interested, I’ve hit the half-way goal for the National Novel Writing Month thing. It’s going much better than last year, all things considered. I just hope I don’t conk out and screw up the whole thing. Anyway, enough of me blathering on about myself, here’s what you came here for: sweet, sweet comic strip commentary.
I, for one, will be very surprised if Bigshot is true to his word concerning the Sandman’s place in his little gang.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the robot, but I am all for random robot shenanigans in this comic strip. Not since the halcyon days of a chubby Asian fighting a volcano with dynamite has this strip been so interesting and so filled with promise of further wackiness to ensue. Godspeed, you crazy robot, you.
On the one hand, I’m quite glad that the Phantom isn’t just pawning his kids off on some other people while he goes off to have adventures. He’s at least planning on coming back. It’s still a dubious prospect to have them live somewhere other than the Deep Woods, especially considering the fact that, for all the Phantom knows, Chatu knows that he has a family and is more than willing to take anyone down who stands in the way of his terrible revenge. It’d be safer for the kids to stay in the Deep Woods, with Guran, than to go live with the freaking president. Kit and Heloise have every right to look so sour in the second panel.
The Robot’s still here
