Hey there, everybody! Sorry about the lack of posts yesterday. I wish I had a good excuse, but I don’t. Anyway, here’s today’s post, and there’ll probably be the next installment of the MMM Aftermath as well at some point. Ah, and my weekly Thursday DCR post is up and ready! So there’ll be an embarrassment of MEG-related riches for all of you today!
Doesn’t he notice the webbing all over his car? And is that the Persuader bringing up the rear in the first panel of the second comic? That’s impossible, since the Persuader died a horrible death quite some time ago! Unless he’s a zombie, or the whole thing was just an elaborate plot by the Persuader to escape his brother’s evil yoke and, uh, put himself under the evil yoke of Bigshot. Whatever makes you happy, Persuader. Also, the Sandman looks like a giant cookie-man, which is silly.
Hold on… X is another dimension? The Wheelman is from DIMENSION X? Someone call the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, since it’s only a matter of time before Krang and Shredder bring the Technodrome through. Oh, and I like Mandrake’s stark refusal to give Derek back his gun and the fact that Mandrake’s only dialog in the second strip is “NO!” He’s right, though. Only the teamwork of the Ninja Turtles can defeat a robot from Dimension X. Either them, or the Neutrinos, but I don’t like to remember the Neutrinos. No one likes to remember the Neutrinos.
Don’t worry, Phantom, I’m sure that by the time you end your months of journeying around the world while searching your soul, Diana will be found underneath the rubble, bruised and shaken but alive. Or perhaps she got hit by a rock and wandered around with amnesia or something. I won’t accept that she’s gone either, I guess, but I don’t get to run around fighting crime. It’s also more personal for you, and I’m ending this before I ramble even more.

maybe all of this is setting up for a new guy to be the Phantom. the current one will be so depressed as he slowly realizes that his wife is really gone that his only choice will be to give up being the Phantom.
that would be kind of cool and unexpected.
