Diana Palmer-Walker Kicks a Guy in the Face

Hey there, all you people. Here’s your commentary. There’s more at the DCR, if you like, so go off and have a look if you so desire.
The first comic strip is just a complete waste of space. We already knew all that, and didn’t really need to know he was an excellent fry cook who quit his job. The second strip, though, not only has Mary Jane remind Peter about the Sandman’s daughter, therefore moving forward a subplot which could have been moved forward at any point during the past month, but she does so while getting out of the shower. Mary Jane really should be the protagonist of this strip.
You know, there’s two of them. One could search Mandrake, the other Derek, and then they could get the heck out of there. As it is, it looks like there’s another Wheelman, or Nick and Hilda stupidly walked right up to the thing and turned their backs. I wouldn’t put it past them.
Meanwhile, Diana Palmer-Walker proves to be better than both Hilda (not that hard) and Mary Jane (a bit harder) by getting loose not just once but enough times that the thugs are getting sick of it. Also, you’ve got to like her entrance: kicking a guy in the face. I am glad she’s not dead.

You may accuse me of being reactionary if you like. But if she stayed at home in the Deep Forest raising her own kids, instead of swanning around the U.N. – problems like this would never arise.
