Lame Resolution
Posted by meekrat on December 10, 2009
Hey people. It’s less than a month until Otter Pun Day! I bet you’re all kinds of excited. Also, don’t forget to vote if you haven’t already. Thank you in advance.
Spider-Man using a vacuum to defeat the Sandman is no great shakes. That’s how it was done in their first encounter, after all. However, using a comically over-sized upright vacuum cleaner to do the task instead of an industrial vacuum is endearingly silly. You’ve got to love how shocked and/or afraid Sandman is in the final panel. He knows his number’s up.
So the lightning disabled the Wheelman AND destroyed the rock? That’s a pretty lame resolution to that whole thing.
My goodness! What devilry is this? I guess we’ll find out tomorrow, since there’s no way to tell if these are glad tidings or not. I’m assuming they are.

I take back what I said yesterday. The vacuum ruined it.

Whatever happened to Wolverine and Sabretooth? I thought they were going to be a part of this plot. As much as I love (read: am bored with) this storyline, I want to see some newspaper-friendly berserker rage.

If I was a lesser man, I would have made some joke about the vacuum sucking.

Wolverine was just supposed to be in the last plot. Sabretooth was promised to us, but he’s yet to appear.

Why doesn’t the Sandman just turn his fists back into the big hammers that pounded open the doors and blast Spiderman in the back of the head while he’s fiddling with the vacumn? Is this another case of Spidey winning because his opponent inexplicibly behaves even less intelligently than he does? I mean, in the final panel, his back is completely turned to Sandman and he’s lugging around a gigantic vacumn!

Mike, was that a dig against a certain Mr. Reads The Comic So You Don’t Have To?

I would not dream of trying to start something with Mister Fruhlinger. He could crush me, probably.

Right, he does have that beard…
