Orphans Want Revenge

It’s already three days until the end of the year. My, how time flies. Here’s your commentary.
Right now, it’s just a matter of waiting until Foghorn does the right thing. In this case, the right thing will probably get him shot and perhaps killed by Bigshot. I’m a little weirded out by Foghorn’s dialog in panel two, though. What was he going to say if he wasn’t going to call her a good little girl? It’s probably best not to think about it.
Also, I forgot to say this in yesterday’s commentary, but Bigshot claims he makes big plans. So far, we’ve only see him try to rob banks and armored cars. Those aren’t big plans, it’s common thuggery.
If it takes Nick and Hilda to figure out that something is wrong, you’re in serious trouble. Then again, Mandrake and Derek did just wake up from being knocked out by the Wheelman. Still, you’d think they’d still be smarter than Hilda, if not Nick.
Why wouldn’t they shoot anybody rich? They could still take the money and valuables from them if they were dead. In fact, it’d probably be easier. The only reason I can think of is because the pirates don’t want to orphan a child, because if we’ve learned anything from comics, it’s that if you orphan a child he’ll come back and kick your teeth in the first chance he gets.
